About the Role:
Mater Health is seeking an experienced Coordinator to join our team as our Medical Workforce Coordinator. In this permanent full-time position, you will work 38 hours a week across Monday – Friday out of our South Brisbane campus.
As a Medical Workforce Coordinator at Mater Health, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient rostering of our junior medical officers. Working closely with the Manager Medical Workforce, you will be responsible for coordinating rosters for Junior Doctors to ensure seamless operations.
Salary range: $45.81 - $50.46 plus 12% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What You'll Be Doing:
- Coordinate and distribute daily rosters for specific ward-based rotational Junior Medical Staff
- Coordinate planned and unplanned leave to ensure no gaps in the medical workforce
- Coordinate Professional Development Leave requests and other ad-hoc claims
- Monitor completion status of mandatory training modules for junior medical staff
- Coordinate bookings for Advanced Life Support and Paediatric Life Support sessions
- Assist with administrative procedures related to pay classification and entitlements for junior medical staff
About You:
- Previous experience as a medical workforce or rostering coordinator
- Sound understanding of junior medical workforce roles and responsibilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to problem solve and prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficiency in systems and ICT capabilities
- Willingness to embrace change and lead quality improvement initiatives
- Familiarity with accreditation standards for Junior Medical Officer positions set by the Australian Medical Council
