Mater Human Resources is seeking applications for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join the team. This maximum-term (12 months) role will primarily be based at our Newstead campus, with the requirement to attend our Springfield campus as required.
Based at our Springfield campus, these roles will be part of a landmark moment in Queensland healthcare at Mater Hospital Springfield — opening early 2026. As Mater’s first new public hospital in over 60 years, this state of the art facility will meet the needs of the growing Greater Springfield region. With 174 public beds, ICU, maternity, emergency and surgical services, it’s set to care for over 200,000 patients annually.
Salary range: $108,207 per annum plus 11.5% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for supporting and delivering recruitment outcomes for the large medical workforce needed for Mater Hospital Springfield.
- The core function of the role is to manage the end-to-end recruitment process for a variety of roles with a specific focus Medical Officer Recruitment for Mater Hospital Springfield.
- Manage the process and provide advice on recruitment practices and policies to recruiting managers while ensuring a high quality service is offered and maintained.
- The role will also work closely with the Talent Acquisition Manager and will also be responsible for both assisting, and in some instances, leading campaign based recruitment and in building talent pools through a variety of avenues to meet business needs and growth.
About you
You will have proven end to end Recruitment experience within large and complex businesses. You will also meet the below criteria:
- Experience and understanding of Medical Officers and pathways to employment
- Demonstrated delivery of volume recruitment campaigns/intakes within tight timeframes
- The ability to manage high volumes of positions and work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude.
- Deadline focused - must be able to manage high pressure whilst achieving quality business outcomes
- Ability to maintain composure and positivity in times of change
- Curiosity to understand processes and have a strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy at all times
- Experience using recruitment application systems will be paramount, and any experience specifically using PageUp will be viewed favourably;
- Demonstrated ability to operate both in a team environment and autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning and strong listening and decision making skills
- Proven experience building talent pools across key roles and systems
- Deliver a candidate and customer centric approach and have a passion for delivering a standout experience
