About the role
Are you a passionate and experienced nurse educator ready to lead and shape the future of vocational nursing education? We are seeking a dedicated Education Lead to take a key leadership role in delivering and coordinating high-quality teaching and learning for the Diploma of Nursing program in this permanent, full-time opportunity based at South Brisbane.
As the Education Lead – Diploma of Nursing, you will be responsible for leading a team of educators across a defined portfolio, with specific oversight of Semester 3, Simulation, and Graduate Pathways. This role is integral to ensuring the delivery of high-quality, contemporary vocational nursing education that supports students in becoming competent, safe, and work-ready enrolled nurses.
Salary: Commensurate with experience plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
You will manage and coordinate the planning, delivery, and evaluation of education and training activities, ensuring alignment with the HLT54121 Diploma of Nursing training package, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
This role also plays a critical part in supporting student progression and engagement, while fostering interprofessional collaboration and educator development. Your leadership will directly influence student success and readiness for clinical practice and transition to employment or further study. Typical duties of the role include:
- Lead, support, and manage a team of educators within your allocated portfolio
- Oversee the design, delivery, and evaluation of teaching activities for Semester 3, including simulated learning and graduate transition support
- Coordinate simulation activities that reflect current nursing practice and meet ANMAC and AHPRA standards
- Monitor and support student progress, engagement, and outcomes across allocated units of competency
- Foster strong partnerships with clinical placement providers, students, academic staff, and relevant stakeholders
- Promote excellence in teaching practice and ensure all educators are delivering to the full scope of their role
About you
As our new Education Lead we are searching for Educators who have:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in nursing and education (Certificate IV in Training and Assessment – TAE40122 or equivalent is essential)
- Demonstrated experience in leading education teams in the vocational education and training (VET) or health education sector
- Experience in simulation-based education and student support during clinical and transitional phases
- Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills, with a commitment to continuous improvement
