About the role
We’re seeking a dynamic and experienced admin professional to step into an Administration Coordinator role for a 3.5-month relief period. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable leadership experience, contribute meaningfully to high-performing teams, and further develop your skills in a fast-paced and supportive environment.
The successful applicant will cover the roles of 3 Administration Coordinators as they take leave consecutively. The areas will include Parent Education, Bookings and Pre-Admissions Team, Inpatient Administration Team and the PAC, Birth Suite and Main Reception Team. The role is well supported by the Administration Manager and fellow Admin Coordinators at MMH.
Salary: Commensurate with experience plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
- Coordination of administration rosters and staffing for large teams
- Assist the Administration Manager in providing leadership and mentorship to the administration team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence
- Develop training programs, facilitate knowledge sharing, and champion best practices for efficient administrative operations
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of administrative procedures, operational manuals, and work practices
- Act as a point of contact for administrative matters for the team and provide expert guidance and support
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements and lead initiatives with approval to implement changes
- Provide guidance and support to admin team members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively
- Identify, report, respond to and rectify workplace health and safety (WHS) concerns from within own reporting structure
About you
- Ability to work independently in an agile and fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and completeness in all documentation and processes, while maintaining a practical approach to avoid perfectionism that could hinder progress
- Knowledge and experience in a hospital environment with understanding of financial implications to public and private funding
