About the role
The Mater Private Hospital Brisbane Intensive Care Unit has an internal opportunity for a permanent full time Clinical Nurse. We encourage current Registered Nurses to apply!
You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary group of clinicians who are committed to delivering exceptional care to patients with complex and high acuity needs, including critically ill haematology/oncology patients, life threatening medical conditions, and post complex surgery. Our team takes pride in providing patient centred care in a supportive environment that values collaboration, clinical excellence, and professional growth.
Salary range: $54.45 - $58.30 per hour plus 12% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
As a Clinical Nurse in ICU, you will utilise your enthusiasm and knowledge to lead the nursing team caring for critically ill patients in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team. You will have a strong patient-service focus, demonstrated commitment to continued service improvement, excellent communication skills, willingness to facilitate and encourage cohesive, positive professional relationships and be required to demonstrate problem-solving skills to improve patient care and improved team outcomes relevant to the ward.
You will work closely with the nursing, medical and allied health team to seamlessly integrate to this friendly and professional team. This challenging and rewarding position will utilise your abilities and develop further as a leader of the team.
About you
- Registered Nurse with a minimum of 5 years’ current experience in ICU
- Completion of ICU Transition Program
- Post graduate qualification in Critical Care
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Post-graduate qualification in critical care or willingness to complete (highly desirable)
