Mater Foundation are looking for a Content Marketing Specialist to join the team! This exciting full-time role is maximum term contract covering a 15-month parental leave period. The position will be based at our Newstead campus, offering a hybrid 60/40 work from home model. There is also potential for the right candidate to work part-time at 0.8 FTE per week.

What you’ll be doing

The Content Marketing Specialist at Mater Foundation plays a crucial role in developing, executing, and optimizing content to enhance brand awareness and engagement, focusing on Philanthropy and Corporate & Community Engagement. Stakeholder management is a key aspect of this position, requiring a deep understanding of the mission and the ability to translate its impact through compelling storytelling involving cause stories, patients, and clinicians at Mater.

This role involves creating high-quality content across various digital platforms and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align content with marketing goals and resonate with the target audience.

  • Align content with Mater's mission and vision
  • Tell compelling stories from Mater and its community
  • Develop marketing content and collateral for strategic objectives
  • Provide content marketing advice to key stakeholders
  • Execute EDM and SMS campaign elements
  • Collaborate with Mater Group to develop story content
  • Manage communication channels and tools
  • Administer content work effectively

About you

The ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, PR, or media and a minimum 5 years of marketing experience or relevant industry experience.

  • Ability to translate technical information into compelling language
  • Strong storytelling and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital platforms
  • Knowledge of contemporary marketing principles and trends
  • Experience briefing internal specialists or external agencies
  • Understanding of user/donor experience and content application
  • Role will require some out of hours work from time to time such as attendance at fundraising events and community activities
