About the role

Expressions of interest (EOI) are being sort from motivated and passionate Registered Nurses, to temporarily cover a Clinical Nurse role in our Welcome Lounge/Day Procedure Unit (DPU) for a maximum term contract for 6 months, 32 hours per week.

Salary range: $54.45 - $58.30 per hour plus 12% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  + access to many staff benefits! 

What you’ll be doing

As the Acting Clinical Nurse you will coordinate care for all patients presenting for surgery and lead a team of nurses to provide high quality clinical care.

  • Supporting the safe and efficient delivery of patient care across the Day Procedure Unit/Welcome Lounge
  • Leading by example to provide high level clinical care to our patients
  • Supporting the NUM in periods of absence by providing operational leadership and financial stewardship
  • Collaborating with after-hours management, VMOs, theatres and other interdisciplinary teams

About you

  • Current AHPRA Nursing registration
  • Strong change management skills and excellent time management skills
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills to manage completing priorities effectively
  • A commitment to support staff, patient-centred care, and continuous improvement
