About the role
Mater Private Hospital Townsville is thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for a Dietitian to join our Allied Health team. The successful candidate will be offered Permanent Part-Time employment, working 22.5 hours per week across our Pimlico and Hyde Park campuses. The schedule includes Mondays and Wednesdays, with a third shift on Thursday or Friday. The position also offers the flexibility to cover leave and work additional hours as needed, with a typical working day from 8AM to 4PM.
Salary range: $43.68 - $58.59 per hour plus 12% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
The successful applicant will be responsible for managing a clinical caseload, which will rotate through a range of clinical areas, whilst contributing to quality improvement initiatives and best practice models of dietetic care. Clinical responsibilities may include the provision of nutrition care to adults across a range of clinical areas, including both inpatients and outpatients. The successful applicant will also have the opportunity to participate in professional mentoring.
About you
The successful applicant will demonstrate:
- Comprehensive knowledge of Nutrition and Dietetics service in a hospital setting and the ability to manage caseloads across a broad range of clinical areas
- Commitment to continuous quality improvement, evidence based practice and professional development
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication (both verbal and written) and time management skills, including the ability to work collaboratively within the Nutrition and Dietetics Department and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Minimum of one-year full time equivalent clinical experience- recommended
- Accredited Practising Dietitian status
