About the role

Mater has an exciting opportunity for an Inventory Control Officer to join our Procurement and Supply Chain Operations team at the South Brisbane campus. This full-time, maximum term contract (2 months) plays a vital part in ensuring the seamless flow of goods across Mater’s hospitals and services. It’s an excellent opportunity to contribute to the delivery of quality healthcare by supporting efficient inventory management within a purpose-driven organisation.

Salary range: $34.02 - $40.56 per hour plus plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  + access to many staff benefits! 

What you’ll be doing

As the Inventory Control Officer, you’ll be responsible for accurate receipt, storage, and distribution of goods within the warehouse to Mater customers. You’ll support stocktake activities, maintain high-quality stock control processes, and follow established imprest management systems.

A strong focus on communication, customer service, and teamwork will be key to ensuring efficient, safe, and timely delivery of inventory across Mater’s network. You’ll also actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Supply Chain Operations team.

About you

You are an organised and proactive team player with a strong focus on accuracy and customer service. To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in warehousing and inventory control, ideally within a large or complex organisation.
  • Experience using inventory management systems, including imprest management.
  • Strong attention to detail, initiative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with a focus on service delivery.
  • A commitment to safety, continuous improvement, and Mater’s Mission and Values.
  • (Desirable) A Certificate II in Transport and Logistics (Warehousing and Storage) or equivalent.
