About the role

Salary range: $29.59 - $32.09 per hour (Operational Lvl 2) plus super (plus casual loading and relevant allowances if applicable) plus access to generous salary packaging of up to $15900 per annum.

Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton is seeking a Hospitality Services Assistant to join the team on a casual basis that has potential to evolve into a permanent role if desired.

The successful Hospitality Services Assistant candidate will be required to be available to work between the hours of 10:00pm to 6:00am Monday-Friday (weekends when required).

What you'll be doing

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our friendly hospitality team providing compassionate care to the local community. The Hospitality Services Assistant will contribute to the delivery of effective cleaning and hygiene services to delegated areas of the Hospital and prepare, assemble, and deliver patient meals.  

We are ideally looking for candidates that have:

  • Previous experience in a hospital or hotel cleaning/good services role
  • Previous experience as a kitchen hand
  • Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Knowledge of current food hygiene principles, practices, and legislation
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding job
  • Ability to recognise and prioritise tasks effectively
  • Ability to engage with a variety of people
