About the role

The Mater South Brisbane is looking for Dual Degree RM/RN to join their permanent pool team in Central Nursing on a part-time basis. You must be available for a January 2025 start.

The shifts will work across all wards covering a 24/7 rotational roster at Mater Mother's Hospital, with potential to work in Mater Adults if registered with dual degree in midwifery and nursing. Availability and flexibility is of great importance to the permanent pool team, which also offers our RM’s and RN's the opportunity to be exposed to different areas of the campus (both public and private) and gain valuable experience. This role is being offered at 32 hours per week.

Salary range: $41.74 - $53.53 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  + access to many staff benefits!  

What you’ll be doing

 You will be required to work across the below wards/areas

  • Public or Private Antenatal wards
  • Public or Private Postnatal wards
  • Gynaecology
  • If qualified – Birth Suite and Pregnancy Assessment Unit

About you

To be considered suitable for the Central Nursing Permanent Pool:

  • Current AHPRA registration (without restriction)
  • Minimum 12 months post graduate midwifery/nursing experience
  • Flexibility to perform in various wards, adaptability to seamlessly integrate into different teams and work under different NUMs
  • Consistent availability to complete shifts at short notice
  • Commitment to excellence in nursing practice and professional development
  • Demonstrated ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team
  • Basic computer skills and proven ability to use health information systems
