About the role

Mater Health Brisbane is seeking experienced, motivated, and enthusiastic Enrolled Nurses (ENs) to join the Ambulatory & Outpatient Department. Permanent part time 32 hours per week and maximum term contract 16 hours per week until April 2026. Both roles are based at South Brisbane.

Our Ambulatory and Outpatient Department offers a diverse work environment that caters to 26 different Medical and Surgical specialty areas. This role will see you demonstrate your commitment to providing exceptional patient care across our broad service with the support and guidance of skilled and experienced Registered Nurses, Clinical Nurse specialists and the Nurse Unit Manager.

Salary range: $35.92 - $38.21 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  + access to many staff benefits! 

What you’ll be doing

Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to);

• Co-ordinating patient flow within the outpatient clinic space
• Assisting clinicians with minor procedures
• Simple and complex wound care
• Clinic preparation and finalisation
• Managing relationships and liaising effectively with members of the multidisciplinary team
• Effectively manage and identify risk, reporting patient complaints and supporting implementation of strategies to ensure that quality is integrated in service provision

About you

To be considered for this role, you will have;

• Excellent written and verbal communications skills when liaising with patients, families and staff within professional, legal and ethical parameters
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team in order to deliver optimal patient outcomes
• Current registration with AHPRA as an Enrolled Nurse with no restrictions
• Exceptional time management & task prioritisation
• Previous experience in acute care or an outpatient setting will be highly regarded
• Hard working, enthusiastic and able to show initiative
• Approachable with a mature, confident attitude and the ability to work and achieve results
• Exceptional organisational and problem solving skills
• Proficiency using computer programs such as Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
