Mater Private Hospital Bundaberg is currently seeking multiple CSSD trained AINs to join the team! These permanent part-time and casual opportunities will join the Perioperative Unit . The CSSD Technician works within the Central Sterilising Supply Department and is responsible for the cleaning, assembly, inspection, wrapping and sterilisation of surgical instruments and medical equipment in a manner compliant and timely manner that are congruent with the operations of the Hospital, particularly those pertaining to perioperative services.
Salary range: $33.20 - $36.97 per hour plus 12% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
Process instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control standards and guidelines
Adhere to sterilisation practices in accordance with current Australian Sterilisation Standard (AS5369)
Participate in the continuous monitoring of service quality and compliance
Adhere to documentation requirements in accordance with Australian Standard and Mater guidelines
Operate equipment safely in accordance with manufacturer instructions, maintaining and updating performance records as required
Undertake testing of equipment as required and promptly escalate any identified anomalies to the appropriate facility authority and/or resource
Undertake assigned tasks associated with the end-to-end sterilisation process
Undertake other duties/responsibilities as directed by your direct Reporting Authority or other designated authority(s)
About you Ideally you will have a prior comparable experience as a CSSD Technician.
Certificate III in Sterilisation Services or commitment to attain
Previous experience in clinical sterilisation processing (desired)
