About the role
Join Mater’s Digital Technology & Information (DTI) team as a Senior Business Analyst in this full time, 12-month max term contract based at Newstead.
The Senior Business Analyst, under the guidance of the Program Manager, will play a crucial role in the Mater Referral project. Working closely with technical, information management, and clinical teams, the successful candidate will be responsible for analysing and documenting current referral processes and workflows across all departments. By conducting detailed gap analysis with various working groups, the Business Analyst will identify inefficiencies and potential areas for enhancement.
Salary range: $139,436 - $149,640 per annum plus 12% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
This role will involve creating comprehensive future state workflows to ensure that proposed solutions align with stakeholder requirements, technical feasibility and clinical standards.
- Lead development and analysis of process diagrams using BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation)
- Provide business process analysis support through Business Impact Assessments
- Offer expert advice on project artefacts and requirements
- Attend stakeholder meetings and provide progress feedback
- Share ideas and challenge assumptions with positive intent
- Identify gaps and connect end-to-end processes
- Collaborate with various teams for success
- Adhere to formal business analysis techniques for best practices
- Apply exceptional analysis skills to understand complex processes and deliver solutions
- Act as technical requirements owner for projects
- Work closely with stakeholders to enhance business processes
- Improve workforce focus on cognitive clinical activities
- Ensure compliance with competency requirements and risk management
- Mentor team members in delivering business needs
- Liaise across the organisation to ensure effective solutions are delivered on time
About you
The ideal candidate will be Certified Business Analyst and have a minimum 7 years of relevant experience in business/technical analysis.
- In depth health systems upgrades experience within healthcare sector
- Experience in analysing and designing operational business processes
- Analytics solution design experience in complex projects
- Technical/system analysis experience focusing on non-functional requirements
- Managing requirements lifecycle and identifying gaps in operational processes
- Proficiency in designing workflow diagrams using MS Visio
- Experience in stakeholder engagement and validation
- Knowledge in project and product management
- Postgraduate qualifications in relevant fields are desirable
