About the role
An exciting opportunity exists for a Psychologist to join Mater South Brisbane in this part time (24hr per week), 12 month maximum term leave coverage position.
In the perinatal psychology role at Catherine's House (CHMBU), you will have the opportunity to work within a world-class, integrated model of care focused on perinatal and infant mental health. This position will involve providing support across various outpatient services including the Mater Perinatal Psychology Team, Families in Mind, the Together in Mind group program, and an outpatient Consultant Psychiatrist Clinic.
As part of this role, you will be instrumental in assisting mothers and families experiencing a range of perinatal and postnatal challenges such as antenatal/postnatal anxiety, birth trauma, adjustment to parenting, emotional distress, and low mood during the perinatal period.
Salary range: $39.86 - $58.59 per hour plus 12% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!

About you
The successful candidate is required to hold a general registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA) and Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a current annual practising certificate.
- Experience in psychology services, ideally in a health setting
- Experience in perinatal mental health is highly desirable
- Experience in delivering group programs, especially Circle of Security
- Knowledge of EMDR is advantageous but not required
- Demonstrated clinical practice with focus on evidence-based, patient-centered care
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse teams, patients, and carers
- Ability to identify and engage in quality and service improvement activities
- Postgraduate qualifications in Clinical, Health, or Educational & Developmental Psychology preferred
- Working towards or attained PsyBA area of practice endorsement in relevant fields
