Mater Hospital Springfield is seeking motivated and compassionate Enrolled Nurses to join our Anaesthetics team in permanent full-time or part-time positions.
Whether you already have some experience working within Anaesthetics or have gained exposure to perioperative nursing and are looking to further develop your skills, this is a fantastic opportunity to grow your career in a supportive and collaborative environment.
As part of Mater's expanding Perioperative Services team, you'll work alongside experienced Anaesthetic Nurses, Anaesthetists and multidisciplinary clinicians, supporting patients through their surgical journey while developing your clinical capability across a broad range of specialties.
Salary range: $37.00 - $39.36 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
Working within our Anaesthetics team, you will contribute to the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care before, during and after surgical procedures. You will:
Deliver delegated nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse within the Anaesthetics environment
Assist with patient preparation, procedural support and clinical monitoring within your scope of practice
Support patients throughout their perioperative journey with a focus on safety, comfort and compassionate care
Work closely with Anaesthetists, Registered Nurses and multidisciplinary team members to achieve positive patient outcomes
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to effective patient communication
Participate in quality improvement activities and uphold patient safety and infection control standards
Continue developing your perioperative and anaesthetic nursing skills through ongoing learning opportunities
About you
We're looking for enthusiastic Enrolled Nurses who enjoy working in a team environment and are passionate about delivering exceptional patient care. You will bring:
Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA)
Experience working within a perioperative setting, with exposure to Anaesthetics highly regarded
A genuine interest in developing your skills and knowledge within Anaesthetic Nursing
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
A collaborative approach and commitment to patient-centred care
Sound clinical judgement and strong attention to detail
