About the role

Mater Hospital Springfield is seeking applications for a Physiotherapist (HP3) to join us in a Permanent, Part-time role working Wednesday to Friday (0.6 FTE). Based at our Springfield campus, these roles are a part of a landmark moment in Queensland healthcare at Mater Hospital Springfield which opened in early 2026. This state of the art facility will meet the needs of the growing Greater Springfield region. With a mix of public and private beds across ICU, maternity, medical, surgical, paediatrics, emergency and outpatients, it’s set to care for over 200,000 patients annually.

Salary range: $47.69 - $60.35 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits! 

What you’ll be doing

As a Physiotherapist at Mater, you will provide high-quality, patient-centred care across a variety of clinical settings. This will include clinical rotations and contribution to weekend and on-call work.  You will deliver evidence-based interventions, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support optimal patient outcomes across the lifespan.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Deliver physiotherapy assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation for patients across a range of clinical presentations.
  • Provide safe, evidence-based care in line with professional, departmental, and organisational standards.
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions and support patient-centred care planning.
  • Participate in quality and service improvement initiatives, translating research and evidence into practice.
  • Supervise, mentor, and support students, junior staff, and allied health assistants.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to service evaluation and reporting.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and foster a culture of learning, collaboration, and clinical excellence.

About you

You are a motivated and compassionate Physiotherapist with a commitment to delivering evidence-based, patient-focused care in a collaborative team environment. You are keen to contribute to service improvement, professional learning, and a positive workplace culture.

You will bring:

  • Bachelor of Physiotherapy (or equivalent) and current AHPRA registration
  • Eligibility for a Medicare provider number
  • Clinical expertise in physiotherapy assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation
  • Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and support patient care planning
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and quality improvement

Essential:

  • Minimum 1 year experience in hospital-based physiotherapy

Desirable:

  • Experience in the following acute hospital specialties would be highly regarded:  Outpatients, ICU/Cardiorespiratory, Paediatrics.
