About the role
Mater Hospital Brisbane has an exciting opportunity for a motivated Clinical Nurse to join the Day Surgery Unit. This position will be offered on a permanent full-time basis at 38 hours per week.
The Day Surgery Unit will see you working within a range of areas including Pre-operative waiting area, Day Surgery admission and Discharge area and the 23 Hour Unit. Our exceptional nursing team are required to provide quality care across all of these areas, which will present opportunities and variety, shift by shift; our team will be required to seamlessly integrate to work under different senior staff as appropriate.
Salary range: $56.08 - $60.05 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!

About you
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (no restrictions) with minimum of 5 years’ diverse experience
Demonstrate advanced interpersonal and communication skills
Strong problem-solving skills
Demonstrated ability to plan and facilitate management and workloads
Strong knowledge of continuous improvement process, coupled with the proven ability to initiate, coordinate and evaluate quality improvement measures
Extensive experience to provide mentorship and guidance assisting with the professional growth of less-experienced nurses within the team
Support the Nurse Manager in activities designed to aid the sustainability of the Clinical Stream and assist with skill development
Provide optimal patient outcomes throughout the patient journey and continuum of care
Demonstrate advanced clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and the management of patients seeking outstanding care
