About the role
Mater Private Hospital Brisbane is looking for an experienced Anaesthetics Clinical Nurse or Registered Nurse to step into a Clinical Facilitator role. This permanent, part-time (30.4 hours per week) position is based at our South Brisbane campus.
This role will support the Education Coordinator in the delivery of education strategies included in Mater Health’s Strategic and Operational Plans. Additionally, you will promote and implement best practice/evidence-based practice; promote critical thinking and clinical problem solving; and consistency in care delivery within a practice development and robust education model.
Salary range: $56.08 - $60.05 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
As a Clinical Facilitator within Clinical Education, you will be primarily responsible for:
Supporting professional development of nursing team through education and delivering safe, quality patient care
Coordinating unit and organisational objectives related to education, safety standards, policies, and best practice models
Implementing and evaluating new policies and models of care Providing clinical facilitation and monitoring of education initiatives
Ensuring compliance with National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards
About you
The successful candidate will have a minimum 3 years of recent clinical experience working as an Anaesthetics Clinical Nurse or Registered Nurse within the perioperative environment. Paediatrics Anaesthesia experience is highly desirable.
You will also meet the below criteria:
Post graduate qualifications in specialty and/or education
Demonstrated experience in clinical facilitation and preceptorship
TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or willingness to work towards achieving
High Level communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to work as part of a team and independently
Strong focus on professional self-development and that of others
