About the role

Mater Hospital Springfield is seeking applications for a Simulation Coordinator to join the team in this part time (22hrs per week) maximum term 9-month contract opportunity.

Mater Hospital Springfield is the community's first public hospital meeting the current and future health needs of the rapidly growing western corridor. We deliver this through the provision of world-leading healthcare – inside hospitals, in people’s homes and in the community, including targeted services for refugee and First Nations communities.

Salary range: $57.48 - $61.55 per hour plus superannuation andaccess to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  +access to many staff benefits!

What you’ll be doing

As the Simulation Coordinator, you will assist with to the facility set-ups, equipment maintenance and procurement for simulated practice within all Mater Education programs. You’ll work closely with Program Managers, Educators and Education Leads to deliver high-quality simulated learning environments and activities across all Mater Education sites.

  • Coordinate environment and equipment for simulation-based activities
  • Maintain records and databases for simulation delivery and resource management, including ordering via the D365 system
  • Provide orientation and technical support for simulation technology and manikins
  • Develop and implement moulage techniques and simulation props to enhance learning activities
  • Coordinate and manage the simulation team in critical care areas to ensure consistent simulation processes across all wards are delivered
  • Actively contribute to the development, delivery and evaluation of simulation-based activities
  • Support operational requirements that may include travel to South Brisbane within the allocated hours

About you

You’re a motivated and organised professional with a passion for delivering high-quality simulation-based education. You bring strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead and coordinate a small team to ensure exceptional learning experiences.

  • Demonstrated technical expertise with electronic, audio-visual, and/or simulation resources
  • Ability to manage stock, ordering processes, and maintain accurate records and databases
  • Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting simulation equipment, manikins, and audio-visual systems
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • A background in critical care nursing or a health-related field (desirable)
  • Experience in simulation, stock control, or technology within an educational environment (desirable)
