About the role

Mater Health prides ourselves on delivering exceptional care to our patients. Our CVU/Cath Lab is a state-of-the-art facility that offers a wide range of diagnostic and interventional procedures. As a Registered Nurse in this department, you will have the opportunity to work alongside highly skilled cardiac, vascular and interventional radiology professionals.

We are currently seeking 2 x Registered Nurses to join the team. One 36 hours per week and one 24 hours per week.

Salary range: $44.06 - $56.52 per hour plus superannuation andaccess to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  +access to many staff benefits!

What you’ll be doing

  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures
  • Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort
  • Administer medications, manage IV lines, and assist with various diagnostic and interventional procedures
  • Educate patients and their families on post-procedure care and lifestyle modifications
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards

About you

  • Current AHPRA nursing registration as a Registered Nurse (no restrictions)
  • Post-graduate studies (completed or currently enrolled) highly advantageous
  • Considerable demonstrated experience in an Acute Care setting / Medical environment (ideally with a minimum of 12 months experience in Cardiac Services)
  • A strong work ethic, positive attitude and willingness to role model and promote the Mater values
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise with a variety of different stakeholders both internally and externally at various levels
  • Demonstrated ability to operate both in a team environment and autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning and strong listening, negotiation and decision-making skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Commitment to ensuring the levels of service is always delivered to patients at all times
