About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Enrolled Nurse to join Mater Children’s Private Brisbane (MCPB) as an Enrolled Nurse on a permanent part-time basis at 36 hours per week.
MCPB continues to provide Queensland families with access to leading paediatric doctors, nurses and care providers from admission to discharge at a modern, stand-alone facility for families with private health insurance. We are a small but highly valued team, providing exceptional services to our paediatric clientele as part of our Mater strategy, Exceptional Every Time.
Salary range: $37.93 - $40.34 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
As an Enrolled Nurse, your role will involve (but is not limited to):
- Working collaboratively with the MCPB nursing team to provide exceptional, paediatric care, every time
- Actively supports and delivers care that places families at the centre of the healthcare experience
- Working within a multidisciplinary team and collaborating with other health professionals in the delivery of paediatric patient care
- Working to ensure continuous quality improvement and abiding by current best practice guidelines
- A commitment to maintaining current knowledge to ensure continuous professional growth

About you
To be successful in this role you must have:
- Minimum 1 year post graduate experience as an Enrolled Nurse
- Current AHPRA nursing registration as an Enrolled Nurse (no restrictions)
- A strong work ethic, positive attitude and willingness to role model and promote the Mater values
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise with a variety of different stakeholders both internally and externally at various levels
- Demonstrated ability to operate both in a team environment and autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning and strong listening, negotiation and decision-making skills
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
You will have a strong patient-service focus, demonstrated commitment to continued service improvement, willingness to facilitate and encourage cohesive, positive professional relationships and be required to demonstrate problem-solving skills to improve our patient’s care outcomes relevant to the ward.
