Enrolled Nurse – Anaesthetics

Mater Private Hospital Redlands are currently seeking applications for Enrolled Nurses to join the Perioperative team as an Anaesthetics nurse. The successful candidate will be offered Permanent Part Time employment from 24-32hours a week. Availability to work across a mixture of day and afternoon shifts from Monday – Friday is required.

Our Perioperative Unit specialises in surgical procedures including gynaecology, general surgery, orthopaedics, plastics, urology, ophthalmology, and endoscopy. The team prides itself on giving the highest standards of care to our patients and outstanding clinical support to our team of surgeons and anaesthetists.

Salary range: $35.88 - $38.21 (Enrolled Nurse) per hour + superannuation + Salary Packaging up to $15,900

What you’ll be doing

As an Anaesthetics Nurse your role will involve (but is not limited to):

  • Providing quality perioperative care to patients undergoing minor and major surgical procedures.
  • Working within a multidisciplinary team and collaborating with other health professionals in the delivery of health care within the perioperative environment
  • Working to ensure continuous quality improvement and abiding by risk management guidelines
  • Working with various anaesthetists providing safe anaesthetic care

You will be part of a team of professionals who take pride in providing the highest levels of patient care. The team is supportive, approachable and patient focused and provides excellent training and development opportunities.

About you

To be successful in this position, you will have:

  • Current AHPRA registration (without restriction)
  • Experience as an Enrolled Nurse in an acute hospital setting (1-2 years post graduate)
  • Experience working within a perioperative setting as an Anaesthetics nurse
  • Commitment to excellence in nursing practice and professional development
  • Demonstrated ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team
  • Basic computer skills and proven ability to use health information systems
