Your Role:

As a Safety Partner, you will be at the forefront of promoting a robust health and safety culture across our services. You will provide high-quality advice and support to frontline services on all aspects of Work Health and Safety (WHS). Your responsibilities will include conducting compliance audits, assisting with incident investigations, and engaging with key stakeholders to drive best practice health and safety outcomes.

Key Responsibilities (not limited to):

• Support the achievement of WHS strategic objectives and drive a culture of safety.
• Promote awareness and prevention initiatives to enhance our health and safety culture.
• Conduct WHS audits and develop reports to monitor progress.
• Assist with incident investigations and promote incident and hazard reporting.
• Monitor key health and safety metrics to identify trends and develop improvement strategies.
• Support emergency response planning and injury management activities.

Skills and Qualifications:

To be considered, you will have:
• Completion of a WHS tertiary qualification (minimum of a Certificate IV in WHS).
• Extensive experience in work health and safety, with a minimum of three years' relevant experience.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• High-level report writing and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and think proactively.
• A customer-centric approach and a solutions-focused mindset.
• Ability to work independently, and think proactively
• Valid Australian Driver’s License and commitment to travel
• Demonstrate an understanding and appreciation of BaptistCare’s Christian identity and promote the organisation’s values through interactions at work.
