About your new role:

Working as part of our dedicated team means you will have the unique opportunity to enhance the well-being, comfort, and enjoyment of residents with a particular emphasis on providing a comfortable, clean, and homely environment.  The role involves carrying out laundry and house cleaning tasks, as well as assisting with moving large items including furniture, beds and rubbish bins. 

Duties:

• Ensure rooms are kept clean and tidy
• Replenish supplies from the storeroom, including receiving and storing goods
• Assist with moving large items around the site, including rubbish bins and furniture
• Comply with infection control measures and food safety requirements in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Complete scheduled paperwork for each shift
• Maintain common areas and resident rooms
• Assistance with laundry tasks may be required

Skills and Experience:

• Ability to complete a busy and physically demanding workload and respond to changing priorities
• High level of comprehension and attention to detail
• Good time management skills
• Ability to engage residents through a person-centered approach to care and support
• Empathy, understanding, and respect when relating to the aged care population
• Ability to pass a National Police Check
• Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical if required

Roster:

Part-Time: Monday - Friday : 7am - 1:30pm

Casual - Pick up shifts when available
