About the role

Our team works together to provide secure, high-quality accommodation with access to services that empower tenants to live life their way.

Located in the heart of Lismore, BaptistCare Garimaleh Place and Illowra Place offer thoughtfully designed social and affordable housing close to public transport, shops, and major medical facilities. Our tenants are predominantly seniors and single-parent families, creating a wonderful inter-generational community.

As a Tailored Support Coordinator, you’ll work closely with tenants—primarily seniors and single-parent families—to assess needs, coordinate services, and support them in achieving their personal goals. You’ll play a key role in fostering a safe, supportive, and thriving community.

The successful applicant will have:

• Certificate IV – Social Work or Community Services
• Experience in Social Housing, Community Services or related discipline
• Demonstrated ability to facilitate the provision of effective individualised support to achieve positive outcomes for tenants and household members
• Experience working with high need, complex clients
• High level negotiation skills and ability to liaise with key stakeholders
• Competence in service assessment and documentation (including service planning)
• Demonstrate an understanding and appreciation of BaptistCare’s Christian identity and promote the organisation’s values through interactions at work
• Team player (cross functional team)
• Good working knowledge of Work Health and Safety practice
• Computer literate - intermediate to advanced MS Office and Outlook
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Tenacity, tolerance, empathy and patience with tenants and their needs
• Flexible and willing to work between locations as required
• Willing to take part in ongoing professional development
• A Valid NSW Driver’s License 
• NSW Working with Children Check for paid employment purposes
• A current First Aid Certificate or willing to obtain
