About your new role: 

Are you passionate about building relationships and driving sales? BaptistCare is seeking a dynamic Sales Manager for the Sydney region. In this crucial role, you will conduct appointments, convert new customers, nurture existing customers, and lead a small team to meet sales targets. You will be on the road, present at villages throughout the week, and play a key role in organising and driving customer events. This position focuses on the strategic growth of Retirement Living at BaptistCare in a rapidly growing industry. Duties:

  • Manage sales inquiries and provide high-quality sales counseling
  • Promote and showcase available accommodation and amenities
  • Collaborate with Community Services & Housing to maximise sales opportunities
  • Achieve individual and team sales targets
  • Ensure prospective residents understand the financial and tenure aspects of retirement living
  • Develop and implement marketing and promotional plans.
  • Maintain client information confidentiality and accuracy
  • Measure and achieve success through customer satisfaction and sales targets
  • Provide exceptional customer experience by understanding and addressing their needs while demonstrate an empathetic and compassionate personality in all interactions.
  • Build and lead a team, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
  • Manage change effectively, ensuring smooth transitions and continuous improvement
  • Engage with the retirement living industry, staying informed about trends and best practices
  • Focus on delivering value and quality service rather than monetary gains
  • Operate at both a hands on and strategic level, balancing day-to-day tasks with long term planning
  • Be a dynamic self-starter, taking initiative and driving projects forward

Skills and Experience:

Essential 

  • Proven experience in sales management, preferably within the retirement living or related industry.
  • Strong understanding of customer experience and the ability to measure and improve it.
  • Excellent leadership skills with experience in building and managing teams.
  • Demonstrated change management experience, with the ability to adapt and lead through transitions.
  • Knowledge of the retirement living industry and its regulatory environment would be a bonus.
  • Ability to work both hands on and at a strategic level, balancing immediate tasks with long term goals.
  • Experience in a medium to large organisation, with the ability to navigate complex structures.
  • Dynamic, self starter with a proactive approach to problem solving and project management.
  • Experience in sales and achieving sales targets.
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with databases and report generation.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
  • Valid Driver’s License and reliable motor vehicle.
