About BaptistCare The Gracewood Centre

The Gracewood Centre features convenient onsite amenities including a café, landscaped gardens and covered terraces, chapel, hair salon, therapy spa, library, electric BBQs and a private function room for family gatherings. The facility offers 96 general care rooms and 32 secure dementia care rooms, comfortably furnished with ample storage, quality fittings, built in ceiling hoists, free Wi-Fi and SMART TVs.

As a purpose-built aged care facility, the latest technology has been included to ensure residents are well looked after. Our team of professional staff, chaplains and volunteers are dedicated to delivering the best possible care to residents, with 24-hour access to registered nurses.

The Gracewood Centre is an integral part of the wider The Gracewood Community and is co-located on site with a Social Club, Home Care and Retirement Living.

About the role

As a Carer, you'll get to know your residents by supporting their choices, preferences and needs during your shifts. We are hiring for Carers on a Permanent Part time and Casual basis depending on availability. 
The Centre have a variety of shifts on offer which will be discussed during interview

Duties may include:

• Assistance with a wide range of Person-Centered care in accordance with care plans
• Assistance with medication
• Simple wound dressing
• Assistance with activities under supervision
• Working with each resident to continue to do the things they love

Skills & experience

• Previous experience as a Care Service Employee (desirable)
• Transferrable skills in providing care and compassion to others
• Certificate III in Individual Support is desirable or a willingness to obtain
