- Facilitate group sessions and provide counselling as part of the Men’s Behaviour Change Program
We’re looking for an experienced Men’s Behaviour Change Counsellor / Group Facilitator to join our Men’s Behaviour Change Program, supporting men through specialist group programs.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real impact while enjoying flexible hours—3 to 4 days per week with no weekend work. The schedule includes Monday to Wednesday from 12:30PM to 8:30PM and one additional day from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

About the Role:
This role provides counselling, support, and specialist group programs to individuals and families using trauma-informed, evidence-based, and psycho-educational approaches. You’ll help clients overcome challenges, build resilience, and improve relationships, with a strong focus on working with families affected by domestic violence and supporting both those who have experienced and those who use violence, as this is a core part of our work.

About You:
The successful applicant will bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in relevant human services (e.g. Psychology, Counselling) or equivalent demonstrated experience
- Clinical membership of relevant professional body (e.g. PACFA - Psychotherapy and Counsellors Association of Australia)
- Experience working with men and facilitating Men’s Behaviour Change Programs
- Demonstrated experience & skills in counselling and group work
- Experience in providing counselling in an agency setting
- Demonstrated experience & skills in individual and group settings with people experiencing and/or using Domestic Family Violence (leading DV programs/groups)
- Experience in trauma informed practice
- Demonstrated experience relating to diverse groups, e.g. Government departments & other agencies
- Demonstrate an understanding and appreciation of BaptistCare’s Christian identity and promote the organisation’s values through interactions at work
- Demonstrated understanding of inclusive, respectful practice when working with First Nations, culturally and linguistically diverse, LGBTIA+ and people with disabilities
- Demonstrated commitment to social justice outcomes in counselling & group work
- Excellent written & oral communication skills
- Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Willing to undergo a Police Check
- Current Drivers’ License
