About the role:
Join us at UC as we embark on the Stabilise Phase of our ambitious Digital Master Plan (DMP) —a transformative ten-year journey to modernise and future-proof our digital capabilities. We’re seeking a Project Manager – Modernisation Stream to drive the successful delivery of foundational digital projects that will shape the future of our institution. Reporting to the Program Manager, Digital Initiatives, you will lead multi-disciplinary agile teams to deliver high-impact digital projects across the University. This role will ensure operational stability and embedding core digital capabilities during the first stage of the DMP.
Key responsibilities:
Lead and manage digital projects from initiation to closure
Develop comprehensive project documentation including plans, reports, budgets, and risk registers.
Build and maintain stakeholder engagement with internal and external partners, to align project outcomes with strategic objectives.
Prepare business cases to seek funding and support decision-making.
Facilitate workshops and consultations to validate requirements and ensure user-centric design.
Monitor project performance, manage risks, implement mitigation strategies whilst contributing to continuous improvement.
Communicate project status and outcomes to senior leadership and governance bodies.
Foster a high-performance, agile team culture and support capability uplift.
About you:
You’ll bring strategic leadership, advanced project management expertise, and a collaborative mindset to navigate complex stakeholder environments and deliver outcomes that align with our institutional goals. Other key attributes should include:
Proactive nature with strong initiative
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
Solutions driven mindset and strong decision-making abilities
Familiarity with human centred design methodology (desirable)
Extensive experience in digital project delivery within complex environments.
