About the role:

The University of Canberra is seeking a Librarian to join the Resource Services Team. In this role, you will contribute to the delivery and continuous improvement of library services that support teaching, learning and research across the University.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative and technical support to deliver and maintain Library services and systems.
  • Respond to client enquiries and resolve or refer issues related to Library resources, services and facilities.
  • Support access to teaching and research collections through activities such as acquisitions, cataloguing, metadata management and reading list support.
  • Contribute to document delivery services, sourcing materials from other organisations and supplying resources to partner institutions and distance clients.

About you:

You are a client-focused professional who enjoys supporting students and staff to access the resources they need for teaching, learning and research. With a strong attention to detail, you bring a proactive and organised approach to managing information, systems and processes.

You communicate clearly, are comfortable using technology, and work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

To be successful in this role, there is a requirement to have or be working towards a tertiary qualification in Library and Information Science or a related field, and/or relevant experience in the library sector.
