We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer  to complete all phases of software development life cycle including analysis, design, functionality, testing and support of new and existing web applications. The role is responsible for full stack (front-end and back-end) design, build, test, release and operation of software features across multiple web applications that support the overall business objectives of Ignite Travel Group. 

 

 

A day in the life:

  • Design, develop, and maintain web applications, microservices, APIs, and databases using various technologies including but not limited to React and PHP, and other relevant frameworks 
  • Provide technical contributions within agile teams, ensuring high-quality, secure, testable, and maintainable code
  • Lead by example and act as a technical mentor for junior engineers, fostering innovation, continuous improvement, and accountability 
  • Ensure best practices are followed for high performance, scalability, and security of our web applications
  • Contribute to architectural design, identify optimisation opportunities, and recommend appropriate tools and platforms
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to manage project scope, timelines, risks, and ensure successful project delivery
  • Participate in code reviews, enforce coding standards, and maintain security posture across systems
  • Stay updated on industry trends and continuously suggest process improvements to enhance team efficiency and software quality

 

 

Who you are:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum 5 years professional experience as a Senior Full Stack Developer or similar role, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality software products

  • Strong experience in agile software development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban

  • Strong proficiency in React.js and its core principles, with a proven track record of developing and maintaining production-ready applications

  • Extensive experience in frontend development using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and related technologies

  • Solid understanding of frontend architectures, design patterns, and best practices

  • Familiarity with modern frontend build tools and pipelines, including NPM/Yarn

  • Experience with version control systems, such as Git, and knowledge of continuous integration and deployment practices (CI/CD)

  • Strong proficiency in PHP development 

  • Strong experience in administration of content management systems (Wordpress) 

  • Strong experience with integrating third-party APIs (REST, SOAP)

  • Strong expertise with relational databases, data modelling, and SQL queries

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and microservices architecture

  • Experience with DevOps and SRE tooling & practices, valuing a DevOps culture

  • Experience with observability tools, such as logging (Splunk, Kibana) and monitoring (New Relic) 

  • Highly desirable: Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central 

  • Highly desirable: Experience in test automation
