WhereTo began as a San Francisco-based business travel startup and has since evolved into an agile development and design studio within the Flight Centre Travel Group family. Our mission is simple: to make business travel better for everyone.

We provide an AI-powered platform that transforms corporate travel. Using machine learning, it tailors personalized travel recommendations based on traveler preferences, company policies, and budget. About your opportunity

  • Work with the product manager and user research team to conduct user research to understand user needs, behaviors, and
    pain points.
  • Translate user insights into design solutions that enhance the overall user experience.
  • Create wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes to communicate design concepts.
  • Iterate on designs based on feedback, user testing, and evolving project requirements.
  • Transform design solutions into visually appealing and detailed mock-ups while ensuring alignment with brand guidelines.
  • Actively contribute to and utilize the shared design component library to maintain consistency across the platform.
  • Work closely with product managers, tech leads, researchers, and other stakeholders to understand project goals and
    requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineers to ensure the implementation of designs aligns with the intended user experience.
  • Plan and conduct usability testing sessions to gather feedback and insights for continuous improvement.
  • Analyze usability test results and iterate on your designs via data-driven design decisions.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging design technologies.
  • Share insights and contribute to the evolution of the design team's processes.

 

 

Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or associate degree in design, Interaction Design, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) as a Product Designer preferably working on a SaaS product.
  • Experience working on digital products or platforms is highly desirable.
  • Experience working in the travel industry or designing online booking experiences is a major asset.
  • Proficient in design tools – we use Figma.
  • Strong visual design skills with a focus on creating intuitive and aesthetically pleasing user interfaces.
  • Demonstrated ability to empathize with users and advocate for their needs throughout the design process.
  • Experience conducting user research and usability testing.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively present and justify design decisions.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving project requirements and priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • A strong portfolio that demonstrates a range of design projects and your process from concept to final implementation.
