About the Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity to join our newly branded Early Years Department (currently Family & Children’s Services) from January 2025. As the Early Years Registration and Support Officer you will join the new Early Years Partnerships Team that is largely focussed on supporting Early Years Service Providers (internal and external) within the municipality to ensure the children and families in Knox can access quality services.
This position will undertake the administration of the Kindergarten Central Enrolment process for registrations and allocation into sessional kindergarten programs, liaising with families of children attending and registering for sessional kindergarten and maintaining up to date data in relation to the provision of sessional kindergarten. The role will also provide administrative support to the Strategic Planning and Partnerships Team.
This is a full time permanent role based at our Civic Centre however we can offer a range of flexible work options for the right candidate.
This is a Band 4 classified role, remuneration will be $71,212.94 - $75,849.47 (depending on experience) plus superannuation in accordance with the superannuation guarantee.
What you will need to thrive
The key selection criteria for this role are:

Demonstrated relevant experience in business administration.

Demonstrated experience in providing high quality and responsive customer service.
-
Understanding of administrative and funding requirements of early years services, in particular kindergartens.

Relevant experience in the use of databases such as Central Registration System, Pathways and TRIM is desirable or the ability to learn and implement new software systems.

Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders and ability to prioritise and organise workload to meet deadlines and competing demands.

Proficiency with a range of computer application, including Microsoft Office.
