About the role 

We have an exciting 5-week opportunity for a motivated and people centered person to join the Children and Family Centre's as an Early Years Team Leader.

As the Early Years Team Leader, you will make a difference daily by managing the day-to-day operations of the Long Day Care and Sessional Kindergarten programs

  • To ensure compliance with relevant Early Years Regulations and Policy and Procedures.
  • Support integration of co-located services including MCH, Playgroups and Allied Health Services.
  • Support the early years Hubs team to provide responsive and high-quality early childhood services.
  • Uphold Child Safe practices and protection of all children within the service.

This is a part time temporary role working 3 days a week (flexible days) for 5 weeks from 22 July – 22 August 2025. 

This is a Band 6 classified role. Remuneration will be $98,353.35 to $107,416.64 (depending on experience) (pro-rata for part time) plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee. 

What you will bring to this role  

The key selection criteria for this role are: 

  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience applying relevant laws, regulations, quality standards and approved frameworks relating to Early Years services including Child Safe Standards and Reportable Conduct processes;
  • Demonstrated experience in operating an early year’s service including budget management, rostering, regulatory and organisation reporting, recruitment, and people management;
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a dynamic, busy environment with competing priorities;
  • Demonstrated ability to engage, gain co-operation from and communicate with a broad range of stakeholders;
