We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to work on enabling technology and divisional initiatives.  This is an exciting opportunity to influence technology delivery within the change engine, focusing predominantly on broader technical and divisional led initiatives outside of HBF tribes and squads.

 

About the role:

  • Facilitate workshops and interviews with technical and business stakeholders to understand current state processes and issues and how these can be solved
  • Translate business requirements into technical requirements
  • Capture business requirements and ensure they adhere to HBF standards and are delivered within agreed timeframes
  • Develop, maintain and improve current and future state processes and supporting documentation to support our HBF business capabilities
  • Participate in Squad Ceremonies, BA Chapter Synch meetings, and share knowledge with BA Chapter peers
  • Use appropriate tools and techniques to elicit and analyse business problems and capture future state business requirements into User Stories and Acceptance Criteria
  • Assist in the planning, prioritisation and coordination of BA tasks in the backlog

 

Essential Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in Agile delivery teams
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Collaborative team player with a delivery focus and a disciplined mindset
  • Competent in Jira and Confluence
  • Experience in user story decomposition and coordinating estimating sessions with developers and testers
  • Ability to interpret and translate solution design diagrams into technical stories
  • At least 4-5 years’ experience in a full-time business analyst role
  • Ability to prioritise and complete work tasks on time without compromising output quality
  • Demonstrated ability to assimilate information and apply analysis skills and problem-solving techniques.
  • Strong process mapping skills and ability to communicate new processes effectively with stakeholders and users effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

 

Desirable (Knowledge/Skills/Experience):

  • Ability to adapt and a high level of resilience in a constantly changing work environment
  • Data Mapping and data analysis
  • Process mapping using Promapp
  • Highly motivated and driven individual
  • Knowledge of the health insurance sector
  • Knowledge of controls by design and risk management processes
