At HBF, we’re strengthening our cyber security capabilities, and we’re looking for an IAM Lead to drive this critical area forward, shaping the future of identity and access management. This role sits within our Technology & Cyber division and reports directly to the Head of Cyber Security Engineering, the IAM Lead sits within our national Technology & Cyber division leading a small team of engineers.

As our IAM Lead, you’ll be the expert guiding the design, implementation, and management of IAM solutions across the organisation — working with Entra ID, Saviynt, Okta, and CyberArk.

You’ll also play a central role in building and executing our strategy for identity governance, access control, and automation — ensuring alignment with CPS 234 and CPS 230 compliance, while balancing user needs, business risk, and operational efficiency.


What you’ll do

Strategic Leadership: Lead and mentor a high-performing IAM team while setting the vision and roadmap for IAM, SSO, MFA, and PAM, promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Technical Execution: Design and deploy IAM solutions using Entra ID, Saviynt, and Okta while managing user lifecycle, access provisioning, and RBAC.

Risk & Compliance: Ensure IAM practices meet APRA CPS 234 and CPS 230 standards, conduct access reviews, manage privileged accounts, and support audits.

Collaboration & Integration: Work closely with IT, HR, Risk, and Governance to embed IAM processes while partnering with external vendors and internal stakeholders.

Operational Oversight: Manage onboarding/offboarding, IAM incidents, and service availability while driving operational improvements and automation.


About You
You're someone who brings a strong mix of technical expertise and leadership experience to the table. You’ve been in the IAM space for 5+ years and know what it takes to design, deliver, and support secure, scalable identity solutions in complex environments. You're confident navigating both the technical and compliance sides of access management and are a clear communicator with a leadership style that brings people together.

You’ll also have

  • A degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or something similar
  • Solid experience with Entra ID, Saviynt, Okta, and CyberArk
  • A track record of delivering IAM solutions in cloud or hybrid environments
  • Proficiency with scripting and automation tools (think PowerShell, Python, etc.)
  • Strong grasp of identity governance, RBAC, and privileged access management
  • Clear communication skills and a leadership style that brings people together

Bonus points for

  • Okta Certified Professional or Administrator
  • Saviynt Certified Professional
  • Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate
  • CISSP, CISM, or other recognised cybersecurity certifications
