At HBF, we’re passionate about creating experiences that bring people together and make a real difference. As our Senior Event Manager, you’ll lead the planning and delivery of HBF’s flagship event, Run for a Reason, attracting over 40,000 participants and raising millions for charity.
Beyond Run for a Reason, you’ll establish and lead HBF’s broader sponsorship and partnership strategy, building sustainable models and ensuring every partnership delivers meaningful brand and business value.
This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who thrives in complex, high-profile environments and is passionate about creating events and partnerships that genuinely make a difference
What You’ll Do
- Own the end-to-end planning and execution of Run for a Reason, ensuring an exceptional participant experience and seamless logistics
- Develop long-term event strategies focused on growth, community impact, and operational sustainability
- Lead sponsorship and partnership initiatives, identifying aligned partners, negotiating commercial terms, and creating activation frameworks
- Manage budgets, risk frameworks, and compliance requirements to deliver safe, successful events
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external agencies, and sponsors to ensure collaboration and value
- Mentor and coach team members, fostering a high-performance, innovative culture
About You
You’re a seasoned event professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and loves creating experiences that leave a lasting impression.
You bring a mix of creativity, commercial acumen, and leadership, you are someone who can think strategically while rolling up your sleeves to make things happen.
You will also have;
- Strong commercial and strategic thinking, with the ability to turn vision into action
- Experience building partnerships and sponsorship models that deliver real impact
- Proven ability to lead complex projects and manage multiple stakeholders at senior levels
- Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail, you know how to make big events feel effortless
