North Idaho College’s Area Agency on Aging is seeking a detail-oriented Contracts Specialist to manage and oversee contracts for in-home and community-based services. In this role, you will ensure all contracted services comply with state and federal regulations, monitor contractor performance, and maintain accurate service and client data within state databases.
You’ll lead provider recruitment efforts following state procurement rules, coordinate reimbursement requests with fiscal staff, and provide technical assistance and training to service providers. Your responsibilities will include organizing regular meetings with nutrition providers, conducting performance reviews through desktop and on-site visits, and liaising with the Idaho Commission on Aging Nutrition Program Manager. You’ll also support outreach activities and contribute limited administrative assistance as needed.
To succeed, you’ll bring strong customer service skills, excellent communication, and sharp attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office - especially Excel - and experience working with databases are essential, as is the ability to think critically and solve problems. You should be comfortable handling data accuracy and compliance monitoring while maintaining a cooperative, professional relationship with contractors, colleagues, and the community.

Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum one-year full-time related experience and/or training. Database experience required. Must possess a valid driver's license and proof of liability insurance.
*Agency car is available to use for travel.
Starting pay range: $18 - $20
Work Site Location: Aging and Adult Services, Coeur d Alene
Work Schedule: Full Time Mon-Fri
