About the Opportunity

Uniting Early Learning seeks a skilled Finance and Funding Business Analyst to join our Early Learning Directorate. In this role, you'll collaborate with our Early Learning Leadership Team to drive sustainable operational performance and provide key financial insights to inform decision-making. You'll also act as a key contact for our funding bodies.

What you’ll be doing in this role
As a Finance and Funding Business Analyst, you will play a vital role in enhancing our operational effectiveness by delivering accurate financial information, analysis, and modelling.

Your work may include:

  • Analyse and report on the Early Learning budget, including various funding sources.
  • Maintain relationships with funding bodies and key stakeholders.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and oversee financial acquittals.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and promote safe work practices.
  • Funding, Child Care Subsidy, DIP & ISP Funding
  • New Grants and Funding and Grants Acquittals

 

Who we’re looking for

  • Degree in Finance or related field, with at least 3 years of relevant experience. Professional qualifications (e.g., CPA, CA) are advantageous.
  • Strong business acumen, excellent communication and relationship management skills, and proficiency in financial software and data management.
  • Experience in a large not-for-profit organisation (desirable)
  • Knowledge of Early Learning Child Care Subsidy, Start Strong Funding and Family Assistance Law
  • You’ll be adaptable, empathetic and resourceful, and be able to live Uniting’s everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold.
