About the role

This is a permanent full-time opportunity working 5 days/ week and will be based on site at the Richmond Centre and the outreach post in Windsor

 

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Team Leader to take on a pivotal leadership role within our headspace Primary Care Team in Richmond.

As the Team Leader, you will be responsible for the supervision of clinicians, ensuring high-quality case reviews, and leading intake meetings. Your role will involve both operational and clinical supervision, guiding best practices while overseeing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to meet program goals.

You will contribute significantly to our reporting requirements, aligning with both funding and Uniting standards. In collaboration with the Operations Manager, you will support the implementation of strategic initiatives across the centre, ensuring seamless service delivery.

Additionally, you will oversee our partnerships, fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders. As part of your responsibilities, you will train new clinicians, maintain oversight of all cases, and, when necessary, work directly with clients alongside our clinicians.

headspace is funded by the Australian Government under the national Youth Mental Health Initiative. It was established in 2006, are works to make a difference to the lives of thousands of young Australians by:

Essential Criteria

Qualifications:

Approved tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline, and provisional or full membership with AHPRA or an appropriate professional body

Experience:

  • Significant clinical expertise and leadership experience
  • Proven expertise in the application of evidence based clinical practice within the mental health field in both a case management and therapeutic role
  • Substantial experience and demonstrated skill in the coordination of individualised psychosocial interventions to meet the needs of young people and consumers presenting with a variety of mental health concerns based on a case formulation approach
  • Ability to lead and manage a clinical team and to provide appropriate feedback, performance management and adhere to all staff recruitment procedures
  • Capacity to allocate resources, set priorities and ensure budgets are met within the services to deliver strategic outcomes
  • Able to develop/implement and deliver strategic business plans which increase the level of care to customers within a budget framework.
