We are seeking a Communications Specialist to join our Communities Directorate. In this pivotal role, you will develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy, engage stakeholders, and create high-quality content that resonates with our diverse audiences. You’ll collaborate with various teams to enhance internal and external communications, ensuring alignment with our organisational goals. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Craft and implement a comprehensive communications strategy tailored for the Communities Directorate, ensuring alignment with our organisational goals and objectives.
  • Design and produce compelling, user-centered communications for various channels, including both print and digital platforms, to effectively engage our diverse audiences.
  • Oversee the content management for the Uniting website, ensuring it is up-to-date, relevant, and optimized for user experience.
  • Collaborate closely with the Internal Communications team to facilitate internal and change communication campaigns, enhancing employee engagement and information flow. 
  • Develop systems and processes for monitoring and reporting on stakeholder engagement activities, ensuring transparency and accountability across significant programs. 
  • Communicate with confidence and credibility, translating complex technical information into accessible language for a variety of audiences. 
  • Define clear project scopes, establish measurable performance indicators, and systematically monitor progress to ensure timely and successful project delivery. 

 

About you: 

You are a passionate communicator who celebrates diversity and values collaboration. You possess strong writing skills and can convey complex information clearly to varied audiences. Your experience in internal or corporate communications, combined with your project management skills, will allow you to thrive in this role. 

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in communications or marketing.
  • 3-5 years of experience in internal or corporate communications.
  • Excellent copywriting and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and project management abilities.
