Join our team at Uniting as a Data Lead for the Ceridian Dayforce implementation project, a crucial initiative in transforming our HRIS. This role is ideal for a motivated data expert who thrives in collaborative environments, has a passion for data strategy, governance, and privacy, and enjoys driving insights that lead to informed decision-making.

About the Role
As our Data Lead, you will be a key member of the IT project delivery team, responsible for shaping and executing a robust data strategy for the Ceridian Dayforce project. This role will see you working across departments and with diverse stakeholders, ensuring data integrity, security, and accessibility while contributing critical insights to support project success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Strategy and Governance: Develop and implement a data strategy that aligns with the Ceridian Dayforce project goals. Work closely with the Uniting Data Governance team to strengthen data governance, uphold data quality, security, and compliance, and adhere to data standards and policies.
  • Data Migration: Lead data migration strategy, ensuring it meets project timelines and conforms to Uniting’s data governance and privacy standards.
  • Data Analysis and Insights: Conduct detailed analysis of HRIS data, identifying trends and patterns that drive insights for decision-making.
  • Project Collaboration: Engage with project managers, HR business partners, and other stakeholders throughout project planning, execution, and monitoring. Ensure data requirements are consistently met throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Data Privacy and Security: Maintain compliance with data privacy regulations, implement security measures, and conduct regular audits and risk assessments to safeguard sensitive data.

About You
You’re a team-oriented professional with a strong background in data management, analysis, and governance. Self-motivated and with strong interpersonal skills, you are systematic, accurate, and thrive in a structured environment. To succeed in this role, you’ll need to bring:

  • Qualifications and Experience:
    • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in data analysis and management, with a proven track record in data governance.
    • Excellent data strategy skills, as well as expertise in guiding data security and management practices.
    • Strong skills in data modelling, data analysis, and stakeholder management.
    • Proficiency in SQL, with experience in developing complex queries and handling data sets.
  • Additional Skills and Attributes:
    • Strong understanding of data privacy and security compliance.
    • Exceptional problem-solving skills with an eye for detail.
    • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
    • Even Better: Graduate or postgraduate studies in a related field; experience with large-scale enterprise or transformational projects.
