The Opportunity
We are looking for a customer-focused Casual Family Support Specialist to join our Family Support Team and help create a positive experience for families exploring early learning and care across the G8 Education network.
As one of the first points of contact for families, you will play an important role in understanding their needs, providing helpful and accurate information, and supporting them throughout their enquiry and enrolment journey.
Working within a fast-paced, high-volume contact centre environment, you will connect with families across phone, live chat and email while providing knowledgeable, friendly and timely support.
This is a casual opportunity suited to someone who enjoys helping people, is confident working across multiple systems and can adapt quickly in a busy customer service environment.
About the Role
As a Family Support Specialist, you will:
- Deliver high-quality customer service within a high-volume contact centre environment
- Support families via phone and email, helping them find an early learning centre that suits their needs
- Provide excellent customer service and support, and ensure that all families inquiries and complaints are resolved in a timely and efficient manner
- Evaluate and analyse family's issues to determine the root cause and appropriate solution
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all customer interactions, including complaints and resolutions
- Provide accurate information about our centres, programs, facilities and services
- Guide families through the enquiry and enrolment process, including relevant documentation and payment options
- Develop an understanding of early childhood education policies, legislation and the Federal Government's Child Care Subsidy processes
- Work confidently across multiple technology platforms, systems and databases
- Accurately record interactions and maintain up-to-date family information
- Identify and escalate complex enquiries when required
- Collaborate with centre teams and internal stakeholders to provide families with a smooth and supportive experience
- Contribute to a positive, respectful and safety-focused team environment
About You
You are someone who enjoys connecting with people and providing a great customer experience, even during busy periods.
You will ideally bring:
- Previous experience in customer service, contact centres, reception, administration or a similar customer-facing environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Confidence speaking with customers over the phone
- The ability to manage multiple enquiries and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry skills
- Confidence learning and navigating multiple systems and technology platforms
- A solutions-focused approach and willingness to ask questions and escalate when required
- A collaborative mindset and commitment to providing families with a positive experience
Experience within early childhood education, childcare, enrolments or the Child Care Subsidy would be advantageous but is not essential.
Availability
Our Family Support Team currently supports families between 7:00am and 6:00pm, Monday to Friday.
As this is a casual position, we are looking for someone who can offer flexibility across these operating hours based on business requirements.
