This is an EOI opportunity open to all DPIRD and LLS staff.
As an Information and Privacy Officer, you’ll support and strengthen privacy and information sharing across Local Land Services. Working closely with the Senior Information and Privacy Officer, you’ll help embed a privacy-first mindset, deliver Privacy Impact Assessments, support legislative compliance, and provide expert guidance to staff across the state.
💼 What you’ll be doing
- Supporting organisational changes through Privacy by Design consultation
- Delivering Privacy Impact Assessments and advising on privacy risks
- Responding to information requests and maintaining accurate records
- Contributing to the development of privacy frameworks, policies, and tools
- Managing internal privacy resources including SharePoint sites
- Supporting training and awareness initiatives to build privacy capability
👤 Who we’re looking for
Someone who is detail-driven, solutions-focused, and passionate about protecting personal information. You bring:
- A strong understanding of privacy legislation (PPIP Act 1998, GIPA Act 2009)
- Experience conducting privacy assessments or similar risk-based reviews
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex concepts clearly
- A collaborative approach with a focus on continuous improvement
- Knowledge of GRC frameworks (highly regarded) and/or CIP qualification
