- 3 month role – 4 August - 24 October - negotiable
About the Opportunities
Expressions of Interest are sought for two exciting opportunities in the Programs and Partnerships Sustainable Agriculture and Plant Biosecurity Section. Each position works closely with the Principal Program Manager and other stakeholders across NSW to enhance the consistency and quality of LLS service delivery. While each role has a specialist focus area, they share core responsibilities in providing subject matter expertise, managing complex stakeholder relationships, and ensuring effective program planning, delivery and evaluation.
Program Lead – Sustainable Agriculture & Plant Biosecurity
- Provide expert guidance to delivery teams and programs of work across NSW.
- Support planning, development, delivery, monitoring and evaluation of projects and services.
- Manage complex relationships and working groups to enhance LLS service provision.
- Provide advice on project management practices consistent with LLS principles.
- Support regions and delivery teams to improve service consistency across the Sustainable Agriculture and Plant Biosecurity portfolios.
- Offer subject matter expertise on agricultural extension, sustainable production systems, and plant biosecurity issues.
Project Lead – NSW Soil Monitoring Project Lead
- Provide expert guidance to delivery teams and programs of work across NSW.
- Support planning, development, delivery, monitoring and evaluation of projects and services.
- Undertake assessments of soil sampling sites across NSW and create a state sampling plan
- Provide advice on project management practices consistent with LLS principles.
- Make recommendations and source soil sampling equipment.
- Understand soil sampling techniques and procedures.
What You'll Need
General criteria:
- Relevant degree (e.g. Agricultural Science, Soil Science, Environmental Management, Natural Resource Management, Biosecurity, Veterinary Science) or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated successful program and project management capabilities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Knowledge of sustainable agriculture production systems.
- Understanding of challenges and opportunities for landholders and communities.
