Are you a finance professional looking to apply your expertise in a role that drives real impact? The Finance, Procurement Property & Fleet team are looking for a highly motivated Financial Accountant to join the Finance control & Analysis team & play a crucial role in delivering high-level financial support across Regional NSW.
- Full Time, 35 hours per week

- Location: Willing to consider candidates across all NSW locations. Preference will be given to candidates based regionally, with a focus on Orange, Armidale, Dubbo and Wollongong
- Clerk Grade 7/8 - Salary from $110,266 up to $122,058 per annum plus super and leave loading

About the role
As a Financial Accountant, you will provide expert financial reporting and analysis, ensuring compliance with Australian Accounting Standards, NSW Treasury policies, and other statutory requirements. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and analysing financial reports to support decision-making.
- Ensuring compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and statutory requirements.
- Preparation of statutory financial statements.
- Reviewing month-end operating statements and resolving data integrity issues.
- Reconciling General Ledger accounts to maintain internal control integrity.
- Liaising with NSW Treasury, auditors, and internal stakeholders to deliver financial excellence.
About You
We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented professional with:
- Tertiary qualifications in accounting or finance; with CA/CPA qualification.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- A commitment to integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
