Leverage your networks and expertise to lead the design and implementation of a whole-of-government risk based compliance framework for the Biosecurity Act 2015.
About the role
As the Director Integrated Compliance, your leadership will ensure a consistent and aligned approach to compliance and enforcement across the Department, Local Land Services, and Local Control Authorities.
You will play a pivotal role in shaping regulatory governance, delivering expert strategic advice, and coordinating cross-agency initiatives that integrate compliance operations and elevate public value. This position oversees the development of a whole-of-government compliance data model and analytics architecture, as well as the roadmap for digital enablement and operational transition to a high-performing, sustainable business-as-usual model.
In this role, you will also lead efforts to address key findings from audits and reviews of biosecurity programs by driving the creation and execution of a tailored, fit-for-purpose compliance framework that enhances effectiveness and accountability.
About You
You are a collaborative leader with expertise in regulatory compliance, risk management, and public sector reform. You bring a strategic mindset and the confidence to lead complex multi-agency initiatives, balancing big-picture policy direction with practical, on-the-ground delivery.
You will be confident providing innovative trusted and strategic evidence-based advice and recommendations to the Minister, Secretary DPIRD, Deputy Secretary Agriculture and Biosecurity and Group Leadership Team members to prioritise the forward planning for framework implementation.
Importantly, you are driven by public purpose—committed to delivering lasting value through better compliance outcomes and a stronger, more resilient biosecurity system for New South Wales.
