We’re looking for a motivated Farm Assistant to join our DPIRD Research Services team and support farm operations at Tamworth Agricultural Institute. 

  • Ongoing, Full Time 

  • 38 hours per week  

  • Location: Tamworth Agricultural Institute 

  • Salary:  Operational Staff Grade 1 from $61,107 to $67,341 per annum + superannuation + 9 day fortnight

About the Role 

We’re looking for a motivated Farm Assistant to join our Research Services team and support vital farm operations at the Tamworth Agricultural Institute. 

Do you enjoy working outdoors, caring for animals, and getting stuck into all aspects of farm life? As a Farm Assistant, you’ll be right at the heart of keeping our farm running smoothly. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be involved in everything from livestock care and cropping to machinery and general farm maintenance.  

You’ll also play a vital role in supporting our research services team, helping with irrigation, spraying, cereal harvest and fencing. If you like variety, teamwork, and the satisfaction of seeing a job well done, this role gives you the chance to do it all. 

Essential requirements  

  • Current NSW Driver Licence  

  • Chemical Accreditation AQF 3  

  • Current forklift licence or eligibility to obtain
