  • Any NSW office location – regional location encouraged/hybrid working supported 
  • Salary ranges from $99,938.00 to $110,271.00 + super & leave loading 

 

About the Role   

As an Assistant Project Officer Title Assessment within NSW Resources, you will play an important role in supporting the effective regulation of the state’s mineral resources by assessing mining title applications in line with the Mining Act 1992 NSW and relevant policies and procedures. You will interpret and apply legislation with care and precision, ensuring applications are assessed accurately, within required timeframes and to the high standards expected of government decision making. Your work will directly contribute to a transparent and efficient titles system that underpins confidence in the mining sector across regional NSW.

Working within a supportive and collaborative team, you will manage a varied workload, prepare clear written advice and briefings, and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across government and industry. This role offers the opportunity to build your expertise in legislative interpretation, administration and stakeholder engagement, while delivering meaningful outcomes that support safe and sustainable resource development.

 

About You

We are seeking a motivated and detail focused professional who takes pride in delivering accurate work and high-quality customer service. You are organised, adaptable and confident managing multiple priorities, and you bring sound judgement when interpreting legislation and applying policy in a regulatory environment.

As our ideal candidate, you will bring:

  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply legislation, policies and procedures in a practical setting
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear and well-structured documentation
  • Proven organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines while maintaining accuracy
  • A customer focused approach, with experience responding to enquiries and supporting a range of stakeholders
  • Sound administrative and technology skills, including experience working with systems and databases
